FAQs

What is cement render?

When you apply a pre-mixture of sand, cement, lime and clay to cement surfaces such as brick or cement block and then screed, floated and sponge finished, you are cement rendering. Rendered surfaces can be rough, smooth or textured coloured or plain and may be painted or pigmented. It’s all up to you to choose which one you fancy.

Cement rendering on brick or cement block is centuries old, used especially for improving the quality of outside walls and strengthen their resistance against the effects of the weather. It greatly enhances the appeal and value of your house and is a unique opportunity.

The revitalized exterior of your house will be judged purely on its outside appearance by onlookers and when they do so, they’ll be doing the right thing because the view presented to them will be exceptionally appealing, so don’t hesitate. Go ahead and mesmerise passers-by. It doesn’t really matter whether you want to enhance the value of your house for a resell or just to enjoy an exciting change. You should contact us to do the cement rendering work for you.

How long do you wait until painting?

Normally, it takes about 5 – 6 weeks for the walls to completely dry up after the work of cement rendering. After that time, painting can be carried out on the wall surfaces.
